Michigan and Texas are negotiating a home-and-home football series, according to a report from OrangeBloods.com.

The series reportedly is likely to take place in the 2020s.

The programs met in the Rose Bowl following the 2004 season, with Texas winning 38-37.

The Wolverines' future non-conference opponents include Washington, UCLA and Oklahoma, while Texas will face Notre Dame, Maryland and Ohio State.

The Wolverines and Longhorns are both 1-1 this season.
