BYU has intercepted at least one pass in 12 straight games.
The Cougars have held their opponent to less than 100 yards rushing in both games this season.
After two games this season, BYU ranks 62nd overall in the FBS in passing and 38th in rushing.
The Cougars rank sixth overall in the FBS in scoring defense, giving up just 8.5 points per game.
Senior receiver Jordan Leslie led all receivers with seven catches and 85 yards versus Texas. Leslie has now caught a pass in 30 consecutive games.
Houston's 47-0 win over Grambling State was the 38th shutout in program history and the second in the last four games played under coach Tony Levine.
Defensively, the Cougars forced six turnovers last week. It was the team's most forced turnovers since a win over Rutgers on Oct. 26, 2013.
The Cougars currently rank 23rd in scoring defense, yielding just 13.5 points per game.
Thursday will be Houston's first road game of the season. Last season, the Cougars were 3-2 on the road, with both losses coming to ranked teams.
Despite the shutout, Grambling State had one minute more of possession than Houston last week.
