SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) Lorenzo Long ran for three touchdowns in the second half to help Wofford beat Division II North Greenville 42-27 Saturday night.

Long had 138 yards on 15 carries for the Terriers (1-1). Evan Jacks threw for 115 yards and a touchdown.

An 85-yard touchdown pass from Jacks to Will Irwin to close the first period gave Wofford a 14-7 lead. The Crusaders (1-1) responded with a Justin Gravely field goal and a 39-yard touchdown pass from Nelson Hughes to Robbie Brown and North Greenville led 17-14 at the break.

Wofford's Will Irwin had a 9-yard TD run early in the second half to put the Terriers back up, 21-17.

But Long put the Terriers on top for good with three touchdown runs within 10 minutes to give Wofford a 42-20 advantage early in the fourth.

The game was delayed for over an hour due to lightening in the area.
