Arizona State head football coach Todd Graham and athletic director Ray Anderson each donated $500,000 to help pay for renovations to Sun Devil Stadium.

Graham makes $2.7 million a season. Anderson, who was the NFL's executive vice president of football operations before leaving for ASU in February, has a base salary of $600,000.

The renovations are expected to cost $225 million.

"We made this decision as a family because of the relationships. I have been in this business a long time, but I have never been in a place where I have had the personal relationship that I have here with our supporters."  Graham said, according to the Associated Press

Arizona State started a campaign earlier this year to raise $50 million from private donors to upgrade the stadium, which opened in 1958.

Graham is in his third season at Arizona State and has a 21-9 record with the school.
