Texas starting defensive tackle Desmond Jackson will have season-ending foot surgery, head coach Charlie Strong announced Wednesday.
Jackson tweeted that he is having lisfranc surgery. The senior had 11 tackles and a fumble recovery through three games this season for the Longhorns.
He played in all 13 of Texas' games as both a junior and sophomore.
Texas is 1-2 on the season and plays at Kansas on Saturday.
I'm having lisfranc surgery. All I can do is smile and keep my head up. Get my degree in the spring and bring one more year to the 40 acres.— SugaRay Jackson (@tank_texasboy99) September 17, 2014
