HOUSTON (AP) - John O'Korn threw two touchdown passes and ran for another to lead Houston to a 47-14 victory over UNLV Saturday night.

O'Korn snuck in from the 1 to tie the game at 7-7 midway through the first quarter. About two minutes later, Daniel Spencer cut left and ran nearly untouched for a 35-yard touchdown to put Houston (2-2) ahead for good.

O'Korn threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Jackson and connected with Spencer on a 16-yard strike to open the second half. A 41-yard field goal by Kyle Bullard made it 30-7 midway through the third.

O'Korn was 12 of 27 for 135 yards and threw two interceptions.

Jackson led Houston with 147 yards on 13 carries. Kenneth Farrow added 113 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Cougars.

Keith Whitely ran for 82 yards and one touchdown for UNLV (1-3).
