10/04: Georgia Tech 28, Miami 17
Georgia Tech improved to 5-0 with a win over the Hurricanes. Zach Laskey led the way in the rushing attack, finishing the game with 133 yards on 29 carries. This game marked the first time in six years that the Yellow Jackets beat the Hurricanes.
09/20: Georgia Tech 27, Virginia Tech 24
The Yellow Jackets scored 17 points in the final quarter to clinch a come-from-behind victory over the favored Hokies. Georgia Tech QB Justin Thomas rushed for 165 of the team's 250 yards on the ground while throwing for 125 yards and combining for two touchdowns. Georgia Tech was also able to force three turnovers.
09/13: Georgia Tech 42, Georgia Southern 38
Georgia Southern scored 28 unanswered points in the second half to claim a 3-point lead in the fourth quarter, but Georgia Tech responded with a late touchdown on a 13-yard touchdown pass from Justin Thomas to Deon Hill to seal the win. Both teams eclipsed 500 yards of total offense, but Georgia Tech outgained Georgia Southern on the strength of 348 rushing yards. Jackets quarterback Justin Thomas accounted for more than 300 yards of offense with five total touchdowns.
09/06: Georgia Tech 38, Tulane 21
The Yellow Jackets scored the final 24 points of the game to lock up their second win of the season. Georgia Tech RB Zach Laskey led the team with 86 rushing yards on 12 carries, while the Yellow Jackets needed only 15 passing yards to control the clock by possessing the ball for more than half of the game's 60 minutes.
08/30: Georgia Tech 38, Wofford 19
Georgia Tech quarterback Justin Thomas threw for 282 yards on just 15 pass attempts to lead the team to a win. Thomas also contributed 13 carries for 71 yards on the ground, and the Yellow Jackets scored 28 points in the second half.
09/27: Miami 22, Duke 10
Duke could not make in two wins in two seasons over Miami. The Blue Devils were only able to put together 264 yards of total offense and quarterback Anthony Boone was ineffective, tossing two interceptions. Three total turnovers spelled doom for the defending ACC Coastal champs.
09/20: Duke 47, Tulane 13
The Blue Devils cruised to their fourth consecutive win in their fourth game by forcing five turnovers from visiting Tulane, including two interceptions that were returned for touchdowns. The Blue Devils rushed for 256 yards in the game; they were led by Thomas Sirk's 94 yards on five carries and Shaun Wilson's 70 yards on seven carries.
09/13: Duke 41, Kansas 3
Shaun Wilson rushed for 245 yards on just 12 carries, including touchdown runs of 69, 68 and 45 yards. As a team, the Blue Devils rushed for 331 yards, outgaining Kansas 511 to 297 total yards on the day. Duke did not commit a turnover and forced two by the visiting Jayhawks.
09/06: Duke 34, Troy 17
Quarterback Anthony Boone threw for 268 yards and a touchdown, completing 27 of his 41 pass attempts to lead the Blue Devils to victory. Boone also led the team in rushing with 47 yards and two touchdowns, and his play allowed Duke to win the time of possession battle in a runaway win.
08/30: Duke 52, Elon 13
In the season opener, the Blue Devils amassed 567 yards of total offense on the way to 52 points. Anthony Boone threw for 247 yards and four touchdowns before exiting early. Duke combined to rush for 275 yards on only 44 carries for a 6.3 yards per carry average.
