MOBILE, Al. (AP) Brandon Bridge scored three touchdowns, throwing for two and rushing another, to lead South Alabama past Georgia State 30-27 on Saturday night.

At the South Alabama 40, in the waning minutes, Georgia State (1-6, 0-4) came up short on fourth-and-nine. South Alabama then sealed the win by running out the clock.

The teams traded scores throughout the game, as the largest lead was seven points after Bridge opened the scoring with a 5-yard touchdown run with 9:19 left in the first.

Bridge rushed 15 times for 137 yards and completed 11 of 32 passes for 126 yards. Aleem Sunanon converted field goals from 42, 28 and 43 yards out for South Alabama (4-2, 3-1 Sun Belt).

Georgia State's Nick Arbuckle threw for 311 yards and three touchdowns, two of them to Donovan Harden who had 10 receptions for 132 yards.
