Wake Forest QB John Wolford being evaluated for possible concussion

Saturday October 18th, 2014

Wake Forest true freshman quarterback John Wolford left Saturday's 30-7 loss to Syracuse in the second quarter after absorbing a big hit. The Demon Deacons later announced that Wolford is being evaluated for a possible concussion.

The hit occurred when Wolford was dropping back on a pass play. Syracuse linebacker Dyshawn Davis barged into Wolford's upper-body, altering the quarterback's throw. Orange defensive lineman Robert Welsh snatched the ball and ran it back 42 yards for a touchdown.
