Tarvarus McFadden, a highly touted cornerback who attends American Heritage (Fla.) High, verbally committed to Florida State on Friday.

McFadden is the No. 4 cornerback and No. 28 player in the class of 2015, according to rankings on the recruiting website Rivals.com.

He is the 20th player and fourth defensive back -- joining Calvin Brewton, Derwin James and A.J. Westbrook -- in the class of 2015 to commit to the Seminoles.

Florida State's 2015 recruiting class now ranks third in the country, behind Alabama and Clemson, according to Rivals.com.

McFadden used some deception in announcing his commitment.

At a ceremony at his high school on Friday, McFadden first picked up a white Florida State. He then placed it back down and grabbed a Georgia cap, only to pull out a garnet-colored Seminoles lid, which he slipped on his head.
