North Carolina running back Romar Morris was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on Sunday morning, Harold Gutmann of The Herald-Sun reports.

The 22-year-old junior was arrested at 4:12 a.m. and released "to a sober person" at 5:30 a.m., according to The Herald Sun. As part of his release, he will have to appear in court on Nov. 13.

Morris is the team's fourth-leading rusher with 162 yards on 44 carries with four touchdowns on the season. He made his 11th career start on Saturday against Miami.

Gutmann reports the school will release a statement on Morris' arrest later today.

North Carolina lost 47-20 last week to Miami. The Tar Heels are 4-5 on the season and are idle this week before hosting Pittsburgh on Nov. 15.
