Toledo forced two turnovers and a three-and-out on Kent State's final three drives to squash any chance for a comeback.
Kareem Hunt ran for 141 yards on 18 carries, and Terry Swanson added 75 on the ground for the Rockets (6-3, 5-0 Mid-American). Woodside limped off the field with an apparent leg injury late in the third quarter and did not return.
Holley rushed for 95 yards on 12 carries for Kent State (1-8, 0-5).
