Tennessee Tech beats Southeast Missouri 27-26

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Jared Davis came off the bench to spark a sputtering offense and Willie Davis scored on a 32-yard run with 4:16 left to help Tennessee Tech hold off Southeast Missouri 27-26 on Saturday.

Davis replaced Darian Stone, who moved into sixth on the career list for total yards at Tennessee Tech (4-6, 3-4 Ohio Valley), with his team trailing 13-0 late in the first half.

On his first drive, Davis hit Brock McCoin on back-to-back plays for gains of 14 and 40 yards before Radir Annoor scored on a 2-yard run.

After Southeast Missouri (4-6, 2-4) added a field goal, Davis found Cody Matthews for a 17-yard touchdown and added a 12-yard scoring run and Tennessee Tech led 20-16 with 14:49 left.

Another field goal and a 48-yard touchdown run by DeMichael Jackson made it 26-20 before Willie Davis' run.

Ryan McCrum, who made field goals of 43, 32, 40 and 19 yards, had a 62-yard attempt blocked in the waning seconds.
