Wednesday November 12th, 2014

Alabama running back T.J. Yeldon left last weekend's win over LSU with an ankle injury, but is practicing this week, head coach Nick Saban told reporters Wednesday.

"He's practicing and doing well," Saban said on a teleconference, according to Bama Online. Saban added that he expects Yeldon to be ready for Saturday's game against top-ranked Mississippi State.

Saban told reporters Monday that Yeldon's injury was a minor ankle sprain.

Yeldon had 15 carries for 68 yards against LSU before he was injured.

Yeldon, a junior, is the team's leading rusher this season, with 135 carries for 686 yards and five touchdowns. Sophomore Derrick Henry has 111 carries for 554 yards and four touchdowns.

Alabama and Mississippi State play in Tuscaloosa on Saturday at 3:30 pm ET.
