North Dakota State, Montana to meet in second annual FCS Kickoff

FCS teams North Dakota State and Montana will meet in ESPN's second annual "FCS Kickoff," the schools announced on Thursday.

The game will be broadcast on Saturday, Aug. 29, the Saturday before the first FBS games. Eastern Washington beat Sam Houston State in this year's matchup.

The Bison are 10-1 this season and have beaten FBS teams such as Iowa State, Kansas State and Minnesota in recent years. They have won three consecutive FCS championships. Montana is 7-4 this season and has won three Big Sky conference titles since 2008.

Both teams are ranked in the top 15 of the latest FCS Coaches' Poll. North Dakota State beat the Grizzlies 22-10 on Sept. 20 this season.
