Woods underwent surgery on Tuesday for a pectoral muscle injury and had posted an update on Instagram noting that he was ready to play against Nebraska.
Woods started 10 of 12 games for USC this season, recording 37 tackles while primarily seeing time on running downs. With the Huskers coming in with one of the best running backs in the country in Ameer Abdullah, losing Woods is especially ill-timed for the Trojans' defense. Woods finished the season third among USC linemen in tackles.
USC finished 8-4 and is coming off a 49-14 blowout win over Notre Dame in the regular-season finale.
