Tight end Daniel Helm is transferring to Duke, the school announced on Wednesday.

A press release says that Helm has signed a financial aid agreement and will enroll at Duke for the spring semester.

As a true freshman at Tennessee last season, Helm caught six passes for 37 yards over 12 games (including two starts).

A former four-star recruit, Helm was rated the No. 2 tight end and No. 6 player in Illinois in the class of 2014 by Rivals.com.

Helm will sit out the 2015 season because of NCAA regulations before playing in 2016. He will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.

Duke finished 9-4 (5-3 ACC) this season.
