WACO, Texas (AP) Grant Teaff is planning to step aside as executive director of the American Football Coaches Association after one more year on the job.
The 81-year-old Teaff announced Wednesday that he will leave the post next February, which will mark 22 years. He has been the AFCA's executive director since February 1994.
The American Football Coaches Association was founded in 1922 and now has more than 11,000 members, with coaches from high school to the pro ranks.
The search for the next executive director is underway. The search committee is led by Cincinnati coach Tommy Tuberville, the 2015 AFCA president.
