Bowling Green State football coach Dino Babers suspended defensive end Bryan Thomas indefinitely for undisclosed reasons, the coach announced Tuesday. But Bowling Green Municipal Court records indicate Thomas was arrested for "felonious assault" on May 29, according to The Toledo Blade.
Court records obtained by SI.com confirmed the arrest. Thomas was arraigned in court on Tuesday and is scheduled for a bond hearing on Wednesday.
Thomas' preliminary hearing date is set for June 10.
In 2014, Thomas posted 48 tackles, including 15 tackles for loss, and led the team with eight sacks.
It remains unclear whether Thomas will be available for the Falcons' 2015 season-opener against Tennessee on Sept. 5.
