Kansas football has dismissed sophomore running back Corey Avery and senior wide receiver Rodriguez Coleman.
The pair were dismissed for violating team rules. They were previously suspended indefinitely.
Additionally, senior linebacker Jake Love announced he has retired from football due to medical reasons. Long started 19 games for the Jayhawks over his career, recording 147 tackles and 4.0 sacks.
Avery played in 12 games last season, rushing for five touchdowns and making 18 catches for 217 yards and one touchdown.
Coleman appeared in 18 games over the last two seasons, compiling 245 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Kansas finished 3–9 (1–8 Big 12) in 2014. Charlie Weis was fired mid-year and David Beaty was hired in December.
