Colorado fullback/defensive end George Frazier was arrested and charged with driving under the influence Sunday morning in Boulder, Boulder County Jail records show.

Frazier, 20, was also charged with underage possession of alcohol and a traffic violation.

A police spokeswoman told the Daily Camera that Frazier was arrested around 3 a.m. Sunday after an officer found him sleeping in a car with the transmission in drive and his foot on the brake. Police said his blood-alcohol level was .111%, above Colorado’s legal limit of .08%.

Frazier is entering his redshirt sophomore season. He appeared in 12 games on offense last season and 10 on defense. He had one rushing touchdown on five attempts and three receiving touchdowns on five catches. He played on 23% percent of Colorado’s defensive snaps and made 15 tackles.

“We certainly don't condone George's actions, of which he is taking full responsibility for, nor do we approve of minors in possession,” head coach Mike MacIntyre said in a statement provided to the Daily Camera. “We have strict team policies against this kind of behavior and his discipline will be handled internally.”
