Louisiana State Tigers defensive lineman Maquedius Bain announced via Twitter on Monday he is leaving the school.

Bain said in a subsequent tweet he will be attending Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, Miss.

Bain, a sophomore, played 10 games and recorded six tackles in 2014, his only season on the field at LSU. He was suspended for the team's 2014 season opener against Wisconsin

Bain was arrested earlier this offseason along with quarterback Anthony Jennings and defensive back Dwayne Thomas, but no charges were filed following the incident. The players were reinstated to the team after charges were dropped.
