Friday August 7th, 2015

Patrick Combs, the public address announcer for Nebraska football games at Memorial Stadium, is accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from two elderly women, according to the Lincoln Journal-Star

Combs had a court date on Thursday where prosecutors presented the five felony charges against him.

Authorities allege that Combs stole a total of $363,000 from an 88-year-old woman and a 92-year-old woman, after being granted power of attorney to oversee their finances. Combs is accused of using the stolen money to purchase cars and pay off debts. One of the women died in June.

If convicted of all charges, which include theft of over $1,500 and adult abuse, Combs faces up to 70 years in prison.
