Arizona State and Utah unveil new uniforms
Thursday August 20th, 2015

The Utah Utes will wear “satin-red” helmets with red face masks in their season opener against the Michigan Wolverines on Sept. 3, the team announced Wednesday.

The new satin-red helmets may find use in other games as well, senior associate athletics director Liz Abel told The Salt Lake Tribune.

Utah wore white and black helmets last season, which were a popular choice among players at their unveiling last September. Last year's new helmets were two-toned and chrome, which was a move away from the traditional matte black helmets that featured a small drum and feather logo.

The team has already revealed the throwback uniforms that will be worn against California on Oct. 10.
