Arizona State assistant coach Bo Graham resigned due to his relationship with a former Arizona State athlete.
Arizona State assistant coach Bo Graham resigned due to a relationship with a former Arizona State athlete, reports CBS Sports's Doug Gottlieb. The relationship reportedly began when she was a student.
Graham's father Todd, the Sun Devils' head coach, announced the resignation Tuesday. Todd said his son was pursuing an “exciting opportunity,” according to the AP, and didn't mention the relationship.
Gottlieb reports Arizona State has a rule prohibiting coaches from having relationships with students, regardless of age. Sources told Gottlieb that Graham resigned when the athletic department was made aware of his relationship.
Graham was the team's running backs coach for the past three seasons. Arizona State promoted Josh Martin to Graham's old position.
Graham also coached with his father at Pittsburgh and Tulsa.
