After a 12–2 campaign in 2014 during Bryan Harsin’s first year replacing Chris Petersen as Boise State head coach, the Broncos will open the 2015 season by hosting Petersen's Washington Huskies on Sept. 4.

Boise State could be primed for another strong year, as it returns 17 starters and is especially strong in the trenches. The entire offensive line is back, led by a pair of senior All-Mountain West selections in center Marcus Henry and left tackle Rees Odhiambo.

Redshirt sophomore Ryan Finley won the starting quarterback job and is certainly an x-factor after appearing in only five games last season and going 13 of 25 for 196 yards in the spring scrimmage. Finley does have a trio of top targets in wideouts Thomas Sperbeck and Shane Williams-Rhodes, and tight end Jake Roh.

Washington went 8–6 in Petersen’s first year at the helm last season, losing in the TicketCity Cactus Bowl to Oklahoma State. The Huskies are rebuilding both the offensive and defensive lines, and also face questions at quarterback where junior Jeff Lindquist, redshirt freshman K.J. Carta-Samuels and freshman Jake Browning shared reps in the spring and in fall camp.
