Wisconsin safety Mike Caputo was ruled out of Saturday's game against Alabama after suffering a head injury.

Caputo was injured on a play early in the first quarter. Wisconsin announced he would miss the rest of the game shortly afterward.

The senior safety started all 14 games for the Badgers last season and recorded 106 tackles and an interception as the leader of Wisconsin's No. 4 overall pass defense. He was named to the Bednarik Award watch list prior to the season.

Cameras caught Caputo so dazed after his injury that he lined up on the wrong side of the ball before being taken out of the game.
