Defending national champion Ohio State remains at No. 1 in the Amway Coaches Poll.

Defending national champion Ohio State remains at No. 1 in the Amway Coaches Poll released Tuesday after beating Virginia Tech 42–24 on Monday.

The Wisconsin Badgers have fallen six places to the No. 24 spot after a 35–15 loss to Alabama in the season opener.

Texas A&M had the biggest improvement, moving up eight places to the No. 19 spot after a 38–17 win over Arizona State.

TCU moved down to No. 3 after being edged out by Alabama for No. 2. The Horned Frogs opened their season with a 23–17 win against Minnesota.

Coming in at No. 4 is Baylor, followed by Oregon and Michigan State at fifth and sixth. Auburn and Florida State remain at No. 7 and No. 8, while Georgia and USC round out the top 10.

A total of nine SEC are in the top 25, including three in the top 10.
