After a disappointing start to the season, Arizona State will host Texas A&M on Saturday for its home opener at Sun Devil Stadium.

Arizona State faced Texas A&M in Houston last weekend, dropping a 38–17 contest that saw the Aggies outgain the Sun Devils 425–291. Texas A&M entered the fourth quarter with a slim 17–14 lead, but outscored the Sun Devils 21–3 to finish the game.

Cal Poly won its season opener 20–19 at Montana. Freshman kicker Alex Vega converted a 49-yard field goal with four seconds remaining to secure the win. The Mustangs had two hundred-yard runners in the game as Chris Brown led all players with 130 yards and Joe Protheroe added 112.
