How to watch LSU vs. Mississippi State.
No. 14 LSU was forced to cancel its season opener against the McNeese State Cowboys due to inclement weather. After four hours of rain delays, LSU cancelled the game, which will not be rescheduled. LSU and McNeese each had one scoreless possession before lightening caused the first delay. The cancellation is believed to be the first for LSU since 1918.
“We've got a lot to work on before we compete in SEC games,” head coach Dan Mullen said after the game. “We did a lot of good things and a lot of bad things.”
