Jim Harbaugh is seeking his first victory at Michigan after falling to Utah 24–17 in Week 1. After keeping the decision under wraps, Harbaugh started senior Jake Rudock at quarterback. Rudock threw three interceptions along with two touchdowns.

Oregon State won its opener 26-7 over Weber State thanks in large part to true freshman quarterback Seth Collins, who threw two touchdown passes and rushed for 152 yards. It marked the most yards on the ground for a Beavers quarterback since Tim Alexander racked up 205 in 1996.

Michigan opens the game as a 14-point favorite, according to VegasInsider.com
