After losing a tough game against Oklahoma, Tennessee looks to get back on track with a game against FCS Western Carolina

Running back Jalen Hurd had a strong game against the Sooners, rushing for 109 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries, but quarterback Josh Dobbs struggled. Dobbs completed just 13 of his 31 pass attempts for 125 yards, with one touchdown and one interception.

The Catamounts blew out Division-II Mars Hill in their season opener and lost to SOCON foe The Citadel last week.

Tennessee has never faced Western Carolina and is 5–0 all-time against FCS opponents, with an average margin of victory of 38.8. The Catamounts are 0–49 all-time against FBS programs and 0–16 against the SEC.
