Wake QB 'questionable to doubtful' for Indiana game

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) Wake Forest coach Dave Clawson says quarterback John Wolford remains uncertain for this week's game against Indiana.

Clawson on Wednesday labeled Wolford as ''somewhere in that questionable to doubtful range.''

Clawson says freshman Kendall Hinton practiced with the starters Tuesday.

Wolford injured his ankle on the opening series of the win at Army last week. He came back and threw an interception on the second play of the second quarter, but did not play after that.

Hinton replaced Wolford and threw for 159 yards on 15-of-27 passing, and rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns in the 17-14 victory.
