CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) Kevin Hogan started at quarterback for No. 21 Stanford on Friday night against Oregon State.

Hogan was a question mark for the game after injuring his left ankle in the second half of last week in a victory at then-No. 6 USC.

He threw for 279 yards and two touchdowns, gritting out a 41-31 win that put Stanford back in the rankings. He earned Pac-12 offensive player of the week honors.

Hogan, a senior, is 26-9 as a starter for the Cardinal. He's tied for fourth in school history at 53 career touchdown passes. Andrew Luck is the Cardinal leader with 82.
