San Diego outlasts Marist 30-27

SAN DIEGO (AP) Anthony Lawrence threw for 207 yards and a touchdown to help lead San Diego to a 30-27 win over Marist on Saturday.

Ross Dwelley finished with 87 yards receiving on nine catches. Dallas Kessman added 63 yards on the ground and a touchdown for San Diego (3-1, 2-0 Pioneer Conference).

Michael White threw two first half TD's for Marist to spur the Red Foxes to a 20-13 halftime lead.

San Diego then scored 17 unanswered, capped off by a 23-yard field goal by Jack Flatau, to grab a 30-20 lead. White answered for Marist (1-4, 0-2), finding Juston Christian on a 77-yard strike with 5:05 left to cut the Toreros lead to three.

Marist never regained possession however, as San Diego drained the final five minutes from the clock.

White had 237 yards passing and three TD's for the Red Foxes.
