Michigan running back De’Veon Smith and cornerback Channing Stribling missed Saturday’s game against Maryland

The juniors were left off the team’s travel roster, reports MLive.com.

Smith sustained a lower body injury during last week’s game against BYU. Coach Jim Harbaugh said during the week Smith was still working through soreness as a result of the injury. Smith leads the team in rushing.

Stribling’s absence was not explained ahead of Saturday’s game. A Michigan spokesman told MLive.com before kickoff Stribling’s absence would be explained after the gane against Maryland. Stribling has one interception in four starts.
