Richmond dominates Elon from the start in 27-14 win
The last time Richmond had two 100-yard rushers was Sept. 8, 2007. It was Green's third 100-yard rushing game of his career. The Spiders owned the ground game by a margin of 250-81.
Kyle Lauletta threw for 195 yards on 15-of-19 passing. He also added a rushing touchdown. His 16-yard first quarter score put the Spiders on top for good 7-0.
The Spiders (4-1, 2-0 Colonial) led 27-0 before the Phoenix scored twice in the game's last six minutes.
Richmond was led defensively by Ayo Ogunniyi with two interceptions.
Elon's Daniel Thompson was 14 of 28 for 212 yards and two touchdowns. Tre Lennon caught four passes for 110 yards and a touchdown.
The Phoenix fell to 2-4, 1-2.
