Thursday Night Football!
Many folks missed the Auburn-Kentucky and Stanford-UCLA games due to NLCS Game 5 and the Falcons-Saints matchup, but both were entertaining affairs. The Cardinal racked up 56 points in their victory over UCLA, a game highlighted by Stanford's Francis Owusu making one of the best catches you'll ever see.
In the SEC, Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn went visor-less in honor of Steve Spurrier. He will auction off the visor and donate proceeds to South Carolina flood victims. What a classy move from a classy man.
The Tigers emerged victorious, 30–27, in a game that included Auburn punting when UK only had eight men on the field. And the Wildcats' loss overshadowed Kentucky receiver Garrett Johnson making an unreal one-handed snag while being shielded by an Auburn defender.
