CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) Miami interim coach Larry Scott says the Hurricanes' top priority when practice resumes Tuesday will be helping players get through the shock of no longer having Al Golden leading the team.
Golden was fired Sunday, a day after Miami lost to Clemson 58-0 - the worst loss in the history of the program. Scott was promoted to the interim job and will remain in the role for the remainder of the season.
Scott made his first public comments since the move on WQAM-AM's ''Hurricane Hotline'' radio show broadcast from the university campus Monday night. He says ''the human element will become a very big piece'' of his message to the team this week.
Scott says, ''This has nothing to do with any of us. This has everything to do with the young men in this program.''
