ETSU beats Warner 42-9 for 1st win since program revived

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) Jajuan Stinson ran for two touchdowns and East Tennessee State picked up its first win since reviving its football program with Saturday's 42-9 victory over Warner.

The Buccaneers (1-7) turned in their highest-scoring game of the season. The football program is in its first season of play since it was discontinued in 2003.

Stinson finished with a season-high 115 yards on 13 carries. Austin Herink threw for one touchdown and ran for another for the Buccaneers, who scored 21 points in the first quarter and cruised from there.

ETSU had 457 total yards offense, including 291 on the ground.

Cory Colder and Nick Sexton also ran for touchdowns while Dalton Ponchillia was ETSU's leading receiver with 60 yards on three catches, including a 40-yarder for the first score of the game.

The NAIA Royals (2-6) scored on a safety and a fumble return in the fourth quarter.
