Fordham rallies past Georgetown 38-31 with late touchdown

WASHINGTON (AP) Jarred Brevard scored the game-winning touchdown on a 10-yard run as Fordham quickly rallied to defeat Georgetown 38-31 on Saturday.

Georgetown had fought to tie the game at 31 with five minutes remaining when Henry Darmstadter kicked a 34-yard field goal. But Fordham (9-2, 5-1 Patriot) wasted no time responding - Kevin Anderson returned the kickoff 76 yards to the Hoyas' 21, and three plays later the Rams were back in the lead after Brevard's TD.

Anderson completed 21 of 29 passes for 217 yards and a pair of touchdowns, both to Jonatha Lumley. Chase Edmonds rushed for 137 yards on 20 carries and a TD.

Kyle Nolan completed 28 of 46 passes for 328 yards and a pair of TD strikes for Georgetown (4-6, 2-3).

The Hoyas closed to 31-28 in the final seconds of the third quarter when Hunter Kiselick picked off Anderson and Nolan fired a 26-yarder to Brandon Williams for the TD.
