Mississippi State WR De’Runnya Wilson leaves game after tackle

Sunday November 15th, 2015

Mississippi State receiver De’Runnya Wilson left Saturday’s game against Alabama with an apparent injury.

With 7:11 left in the fourth quarter and Alabama leading 31–6, Wilson was injured making a tackle on cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who had intercepted a pass from Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott on the play.

The game was halted for several minutes as Wilson lay on the ground, eventually getting up under his own power and walking to a cart on the sidelines. He was taken to the locker room for evaluation.

Bulldogs coach Dan Mullen said the injury is not believed to be serious.

Wilson, a junior, entered Saturday’s game with 37 catches for 626 yards and eight touchdowns. Wilson had three catches for 38 yards in the game.
