Georgia running back Keith Marshall informed coach Mark Richt that he will not return to the Bulldogs next season and intends to declare for the NFL, the head coach announced.

“[Marshall's] going to be graduating,” Richt said in his press conference. “He just wants to go ahead and move on and take his shot at the NFL when this season is over. He wants to finish strong like the rest of the seniors, but he’ll be in the ceremony.”

Marshall is expected to participate in Senior Day ceremonies before Saturday’s game against Georgia Southern.

Marshall played in just three games in 2014 after suffering a knee injury. The NCAA ruled him eligible for a fifth season, which he will not take.

Before missing Saturday's game against Alabama due to an ankle injury, Marshall had compiled 255 yards and four touchdowns in nine games for Georgia.
