ELON, N.C. (AP) Kareem Williams ran for 101 yards on 18 carries, including a 53-yard touchdown run, to help lead Delaware to a 14-10 win over Elon on Saturday.

Thomas Jefferson added 55 yards rushing for Delaware (4-7, 3-5 Colonial Athletic Association), including a 2-yard third quarter touchdown run which proved to be the game winner. Jefferson's TD plunge capped an eight play, 42-yard drive.

Elon (4-7, 3-5) held a 7-0 lead after the first and a 10-7 lead at halftime on the strength of a Connor Christiansen 24-yard touchdown pass to Tereak McCray and a John Gallagher 42-yard field goal.

The Phoenix had a final opportunity to win, but their drive stalled on 4th-and-20 after a Christiansen pass to McCray was broken up by Ray Jones.

Delaware forced three Elon turnovers, including interceptions by Anthony Jackoson and Ryan Torzsa.

Christiansen led the Phoenix with 243 yards passing and a touchdown.
