How to watch Stanford vs. USC.
The Cardinal enter the game one week after a rousing, two-point comeback win over Notre Dame. Quarterback Kevin Hogan returned to top form with four touchdown passes against the Irish, and Heisman candidate Christian McCaffrey again shouldered the load on the ground. Stanford needs a win to maintain its slim chance at earning a College Football Playoff spot.
The Trojans put together an impressive second half of the season under Clay Helton, who shed the interim tag and was promoted this week to head coach. Cody Kessler (27 touchdowns, six interceptions, 68.4% completion rate) has had a strong season with JuJu Smith-Schuster as his top target.
Stanford topped USC 41–31 in an early-season meeting.
