Kicker Eddy Pineiro commits to Florida after Alabama switch

Kicker Eddy Pineiro has committed to the Florida Gators, head coach Jim McElwain announced Wednesday on Twitter.

Pineiro, who currently attends junior college at North Miami Beach ASA College (Fla.), committed to Alabama in June before flipping on his decision this month. He visited the Crimson Tide over the weekend.

He did not play football at the junior college and will have four years of NCAA eligibility with the Gators. Pineiro is the top-ranked kicker in the Class of 2016, according to
