Some say bowl season is the best time of the year.

Khris Gardin of North Carolina A&T proved why as he got this year’s bowl slate off with a bang, returning a punt for a 74-yard touchdown in the Celebration Bowl on Saturday.

Gardin’s touchdown gave him the FCS record for most punt return yards in a single-season. He entered Saturday’s game against Alcorn State with 66 yards, needing just a yard to beat Montana’s Tuff Harris record of 667 he set in 2006.
