The Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Ole Miss Rebels face off in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans on New Year’s Day.

Oklahoma State finished the season 10–2, after falling to in-state rival Oklahoma 58–23 in its last game of the regular season. The Cowboys were undefeated until their final two games, losing to Baylor 45–35 the week before they faced the Sooners.

Ole Miss went 9–3 in the regular season, picking up a 38–27 victory over Mississippi State in its regular season finale. Quarterback Chad Kelly threw for 236 yards, two touchdowns and ran for another score against the Bulldogs.
