TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Roberto Aguayo, the most accurate kicker in NCAA history, is skipping his senior year at Florida State to enter the NFL draft.

He is the second Seminoles player to announce he is leaving early for the draft, joining defensive back Jalen Ramsey.

Aguayo made 96.73 percent of his kicks in three seasons. He connected on all 198 of his extra-point attempts - an Atlantic Coast Conference record - and was 69 of 78 on field goals. The previous record was .9667 by Nebraska's Alex Henery (261 of 270). Aguayo is the 12th kicker in NCAA history to never miss a PAT.

''These last four years have been nothing short of incredible on and off the field,'' Aguayo said in a statement Wednesday. "I have made memories that I will always treasure. One goal when I got here was to graduate, and I'm thankful I was able to earn my degree in criminology this fall.''

This past season Aguayo was 21 of 26 on field goals and made all 49 PATs. He also holds the ACC and NCAA records for points by a kicker in a season with 157 in 2013. That was the year Florida State won its third national championship.

''He's arguably one of the best kickers not only in Florida State history but in NCAA history,'' Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher said in a statement. ''I wish him nothing but the best. We're very excited for him and we will look forward to watching him compete in the NFL for years to come.''

Aguayo is the second Florida State kicker to have at least 400 career points. He is second in school history in scoring (405) and third in field goals (69) and PATs (198).

Aguayo is leaving school just as his younger brother has arrived on campus. Ricky Aguayo is also a kicker and is one of seven early enrollees eligible to take part in spring practice.
