Derrick Henry Twitter’s most-mentioned player during title game

Alabama running back Derrick Henry and Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson were the most-mentioned players on Twitter during the College Football Playoff championship Monday night, according to data compiled by Twitter.

Henry, who led the Crimson Tide with 158 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the way to their 45–40 victory, was also the highlight of the second most popular moment of the game in terms of Twitter conversations with his one-yard touchdown run with a minute left in the fourth quarter.

Quarterback Jake Coker and tight end O.J. Howard led mentions of Alabama players behind Henry, while Watson, wide receiver Hunter Renfrow and running back Wayne Gallman were the most popular Clemson players.
